Safeguarding Children Refesher Course


This session looks at the requirements under Section 3 of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Guidance.

Grooming, FGM and other safeguarding concerns

Vulnerable Children

Local children’s safeguarding board and CAF’s role (inter-agency)

Working with other professionals

Social networking and e-safety

Legislation and statutory guidance

Policies and procedures

Safeguarding folders

Requirements under safer recruitment

Radicalisation and the Prevent Duty

British values linked to the EYFS areas of learning and development

Unacceptable behaviour of adults and whistleblowing, visitors, use of mobile phones and cameras


In addition to the above we will look at dealing with allegations should they be made against you and how to report and record correctly.


Included in the cost of this training is all the relevant paperwork and useful information relating to the above.  This course is suitable for registered childminders  and their assistants that currently hold a safeguarding certificate that is no more than 2 years old.
